hint: omnibus!
hello, my kindred spirits.
i’ve been writing a TON of the prequel to the Fatebound Duology this week. it releases this autumn and i cannot wait for you to see Raegan and the King in the first life together <3 however, because i’ve been writing so much—almost 20,000 words from tuesday to friday!—my hands and wrists are in rough shape. so please pardon the briefness of this email. i want to make sure my body’s well rested for returning to drafting next week :)
the omnibus, as promised!
have a peek at the upcoming Fatebound Duology omnibus, as designed by Bookish Averil! i’m SO excited about this and am delighted at how it all came out. truly, Averil gave us the most King to ever King. i’ve just ordered the proofs for this, so once i have a peek at those and make any tweaks, i’ll work on getting the pre-order up soon. paperbacks will be $30 USD and hardcovers will be $42.
and if you’re like, “Victoria, with the prequel coming out in the fall, why wouldn’t you wait to do a three-book omnibus?” well, it’s actually very simple —those three books together would be too long in page count for most US-based printers to handle! and also extremely unwieldy at that. so i wanted to offer a beautiful omnibus of the original duology for your shelves and focus on the modern, grungy-but-magical feeling of Beyond the Aching Door and Beneath the Buried Sea, whereas the prequel is more of a medieval Arthurian feel.
audiobook news!
Tantor Media just acquired Holy Wrath, which means we’ll be getting an audiobook. Yay! I don’t have the release date at this time, and won’t for a bit, but I wanted to share the good news with everyone :) when it does come out, the audiobook will be widely available, including on US library platforms.
