Hello, dearest ones!
I hope these early days of spring have treated you well—tis the season for half-drowning yourself in violet petals and seeing the future in the face of a daffodil.
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to the new faces ‘round these parts. I know I very much tempted you with bonus content, but still—I like to think you’ve joined us because you, too, feel that yearning ache deep in your chest. (Or maybe you’re just very horny for the King. I don’t judge.)
Anyway, without further ado, here’s your delicious bonus content. As an extra treat, I even made you a playlist to accompany your reading for optimal vibes. Check it out below, or click the link here.
Help me decide …
I’m working on vinyl quote stickers for BTAD! I’d like to feature your most beloved quotes, of course, so it would be super helpful if you’d participate in the poll below <3
The poll itself won’t allow for the full quote, so here’s exactly what would be featured on the sticker:
Quote 1 - “Outlive me, I love you too much.”
Quote 2 - “You are my deepest wound and yet I cannot live without the taste of my blood in my mouth.”
Quote 3 - “Defiance is the oldest song and perhaps the sweetest.”
Quote 4 - something else! Let me know in the comments, please.
Expect these vinyl stickers to be about 3 inches x 3 inches and retail for around $3. As someone who has littered any and all available surfaces with stickers, I’m excited for this project and hope you are, too!
Paperbacks & bookplates!
In case you missed yet, Beyond the Aching Door is now available in paperback over at The Spiral Bookcase. These copies come signed and can be personalized, too!
And if you purchased your copy unsigned, you can also grab a signed bookplate if you’d like! If you’re not familiar, essentially bookplates are pretty stickers featuring my lil signature. You can stick it right into any copy you already own! Grab bookplates here; they ship internationally.
Things I’ve loved recently
Most of you probably already know this, but I’m obsessed with Lisette Marshall’s Fae Isles series. The conclusion, Queens of Mist and Madness, was everything I’d hoped for and more!
I’m a real slut for jams and jellies. I admit that I purchased Unicorn Garden at one of my favorite local indie bookshops, Capricorn, solely for the pretty label. Well, this jam actually fucks pretty hard, folks.
Obviously I love Woodland Magic—that’s why I collaborated with Emilee, the head candle witch, for my release. Lately, I’ve had Persephone’s Pomegranates burning. It’s the perfect spring scent.
Speaking of scents, in terms of perfume, I’ve been reaching for Paintbox Soapwork’s “Potting Shed in a Deluge” and my beloved Eris Parum’s “Green Spell” the most recently, though Poesie’s “Velvet Moon” is absolutely in the mix for colder, rainier days.
Before you go
Make sure you grab that bonus content <3
And in case you didn’t hear the news—we’re getting audiobooks, baby!
Alright, friends, that’s all for now! I’m headed back into drafting Beneath the Buried Sea, the completion of the Fatebound Duology. You can expect it this fall, and yes, there will be a signed hardcover pre-order. Keep your eyes peeled!
yours,
VICTORIA 😭😭😭😭
