the path opens
Blackbird Hollow awaits, dear ones <3
Welcome to Blackbird Hollow is out NOW!
The magical, cozy-against-the-dark book I co-authored with my dearest friend in the entire universe has finally made its way into the world. I have a feeling all our warnings didn’t quite stick, so why don’t you go ahead and join us in Blackbird Hollow? (But please don’t hand-feed the hellhounds. I’m begging you.)
I’ve talked about this before, but this book is about hope—at least for me. Hope that the power of community, connection and just simply giving a shit about each other when it’s inconvenient—or even dangerous—will be enough to overcome these dark days. Writing this book with Allison healed me in more ways than I can properly put into words.
So if you’re looking for a cozy small town paranormal romance filled with 90s nostalgia, “Twin Peaks” and “Supernatural” references, plus a sweet, soul-stirring romance, then Welcome to Blackbird Hollow is for you.
And to everyone who posted about this book, shared it with their friends, suggested it to their book clubs, and celebrated our release day with us: thank you from the bottom of my heart. We’re nothing without you <3
Time for some little treats …

As a thank you for all you support, we’ve got some fun stuff coming that I can’t wait to share with you:
Deluxe PR Box giveaway! Inside, you’ll find a signed hardcover copy, BH-themed tea made in collaboration with Old Growth Alchemy, some super fun extra goodies, AND a candle by Woodland Magic that perfectly captures the book’s vibes. Find all the details on how to enter here! (And stay tuned for details on standard PR box applications, too.)
Early eARC signups! You’re one of the lucky few who have access to the sign-up form for Greetings from Blackbird Hollow, the next book in the series! Follow the link here if you’re hungry for Fallon’s story, which releases in the spring.
A dedicated newsletter! Though I’ll do my best to keep you in the loop here, don’t forget there’s a newsletter dedicated to happenings in the Hollow! Sign up today and get access to an epilogue from Wyatt’s POV that features a veryyyy special moment in their relationship.
Plus, some new stickers!
That’s right, three new bombshells have entered the villa. Check out the latest addition to my sticker selection: two Blackbird Hollow options and some Nyatrix & Ophelia character art.

Also, let me know if you’d like Beyond the Aching Door character stickers <3 I would probably do a run of Bookish Averil’s Raegan & Oberon from the omnibus!
Finally, I’d love to see you this fall <3
I’ll be hitting the road a few times this autumn, and it would bring me so much joy to meet you IRL. I’ll have all my titles available (as stock allows), plus some merch, too!
Ink & Indie | Oct. 4 | Chestertown, MD. I’ll be back at one of my favorite events this weekend and there’s a handful of tickets still available to snag. This lovely event takes place in the quaint downtown area of Chestertown. It’s a great way to meet your faves and discover new authors—particularly if giant cons are just too much for you. This smaller signing is so well-run and laid-back, plus you can go explore the adorable Chestertown while you’re there!
Blythe Books | Oct. 30 | Pittsburgh, PA. The first leg of Allison and I’s mini book-tour to celebrate Welcome to Blackbird Hollow! Enjoy a signing in this lovely indie and a chance to chat with both of us.
Known Grove | Oct. 31 | Honesdale, PA. Enter the dark, lovely woods of the Poconos and join us at my friends’ gorgeous bookshop! We’ll be signing books and doing a panel discussion from 4:30-7 PM.
Cupid’s Bookshop | Nov. 1 | Philadelphia, PA. Enjoy Philly’s first romance-only bookstore, expertly curated by owner Tina! Swing by for Allison and I’s signing from 1-3 pm and to browse this wonderful bookshop.
Capricorn Books | Nov. 1 | Philadelphia, PA. Visit one of my favorite bookshops in the whole world for a panel and signing from 5-7 PM with Allison and I, plus the shop’s fantastic owner Jackie, who always asks the best questions.
A Novel Idea | Nov. 2 | Philadelphia, PA. Join us for the last stop of our Blackbird Hollow tour in South Philly for a panel from 4-6 PM about writing romance featuring three wonderful guests: Kathryn Nolan, Jenna Booth and Lily A. Larkspur. We’ll be chatting about how romance books are actually pretty damn revolutionary, answering your questions, and signing books. We’d love to see you there!
**some of these events may be ticketed due to space restraints; keep your eyes peeled! I’ll send out another newsletter when I have all the details together.**
Lastly, a few things that made me feel joy.
Two Bones Soap recent fall release, which features two beautiful new bars: a pumpkin & cardamom option, plus a lil cranberry, clove and apple number. I received them yesterday and they smell FANTASTIC. Anna Maria’s soap is the absolute best.
Getting to see my dear friend from college for the first time in years—quite literally only a few hours after I send this newsletter, actually! Keeping up relationships as a disabled adult is difficult, but particularly when they’re long distance—and the majority of my closest relationships are long distance. I’m so excited to just sit in the same room with Lian and maybe even make soup together.
The Camena Tarot, a collaboration between Laetitia Barbier and one of my favorite artists, Lou Benesch. I got my deck through the Kickstarter, and it’s absolutely stunning—plus it reads so keenly.
Spending time with my horse, an Andalusian who is too smart for his own good and also happens to be the most lovable asshole. His side-eye is unparalleled. He is basically a giant cat.
The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. I’ve been a fan of his work for years and am finally getting to his latest release. I’ve had a lot of books disappoint me lately, including one from a favorite author of mine. This one, though? I haven’t finished it yet, but I can’t imagine I won’t be thinking about this story for a long time. Masterful work.
That’s all for now!
As always, thank you so much for supporting my work and making room on your shelves for my books. It means everything to me.
Keep fighting the good fight. The only way out is through.

Omg, I'm so excited you're coming to Pittsburgh! I'll see if I can make it out the day you're in town!
